Doris C Jones

Schenectady- Doris C. Jones, 87, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2018. She was born in Schenectady the daughter of the late John and Carrie Vitch LaMalfa. She was a high school graduate of Draper High. Doris was employed as a sales person for Sears for many years until her retirement. She is lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Doris was an avid gardener who loved the outdoors and enjoyed the various birds in her yard. She is survived by four daughters Cheryl (Paul) Lazzaro, Christine (George) Markiewicz, Joann (Dan) Keenan and Karen (John) Duboveck. Doris is also survived by her 4 grandchildren Richard Ralbovsky, Joel Paige (Shantie), both of Schenectady, Wendy (Keith) Cramer of NC and Nicholas Paige (Madeline) of Scotia and 2 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Doris was predeceased by her husband Richard in 2005 and her son Richard Jr. in 1989. the family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the nurse at Ellis ICU Unit Especially , Ashley, Christine and Jeff. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home,1605 Helderberg Ave. onSunday March 11, 2018 from 1 pm to 3 pm. Burial will be in the spring. The family respectfully requests that flowers not be sent rather donations in Doris’ name be made to St.JudeChildren’s Research Hospital.
