Doris K (Countermine) Gagliardi

Doris K. Gagliardi, 76 of Rotterdam, died peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2013. Born in Schenectady, Doris was the daughter of the late Eli and Mary Kenfield Countermine. After many dedicated years spent raising her family, Doris worked as a cashier for Hannaford Co. and worked at several area stores. The majority of the time however was at the Niskayuna Store. In addition to her parents, Doris was also predeceased by her brother, Dennis Countermine and her beloved great grandson, Leontonio Goldie. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Gagliardi, whom she married on July 16, 1955, five children, Anthony (Karen) Gagliardi of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Joseph (Cheri) Gagliardi of Schenectady, Barbara Gagliardi of Vermont, Mary Gagliardi of Schenectady and Edward Gagliardi of Gloversville, her brother David (Hazel) Countermine of Delanson andher sister, Alicia Romundo of Schenectady, 13 grandchildren; Christina,Jennifer, Toni Marie, Tiffany, Mandy, Shannon, Joseph, Anthony, Carrie, Sarah, Becca, Marissa and Robert, who was like a son to her, 19 great grandchildren, devoted family friend Deb Benn as well as nieces and nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Monday evening from 6-8 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, 8:15 am from the funeral home, followed at 9 am by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Burial will follow at Schenectady Memorial Park Cemetery.
