Dora Mae Tighe, 80, of Rotterdam died peacefully at home with her family at her bedside, on Sunday, August 25, 2013. Dora was born in Duanesburg, the daughter of the late John and Bertha Heise and was a graduate of Draper High School. For many years, Dora was employed as the "Dabber Lady" at the Schenectady BINGO Palace.She enjoyed going to the Racino, playing bingo, and taking bus trips.Dora loved gardening, and was a member of the GEWC Garden Club.She was also a member of the Princetown Seniors, Rotterdam Seniors, and the Young at Heart. In addition to her parents, Dora was also predeceased by her beloved husband Willam H. Tighe Jr., who died in 1988, two brothers; George Heise and Herman Heise, her sisters; Pauline Matula and Lelia Pennell, and brother-in-law; Lenny Pennell. She is survived by her two children; Bill Tighe of Saratoga and Marie (Donald) Provost of Guilderland, three grandchildren; Tammy Provost (Eric Taber),Nicole Provost (Tom Funk), Doug Provost (Jen Reedy), two great-grandchildren; Kalyn and E.J. Taber, her sister; Evelyn Ross, her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Barbara Heise, Corinne Heise, Larry Matula, Raymond Ross, Sue and Edward Bates.Dora is also survived by several nieces and nephews and her dog, Missy. Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Turnpike (Rt. 20) in Guilderland. Funeral Services will begin at 7pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private at Braman Corners Union Cemetery Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Braman Corners Union Cemetery Association, 156 Barbin Road, Esperance, NY 12066
