Dora O. Easton of Esperance, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 22, 2012, she was 94. Born in Delanson , on May 8, 1918, Dora was the daughter of the late William T. and Harriet Smith Avery. She graduated from Delanson High School in 1935. On April 15, 1936, she married Glenn I. Easton. Dora was a homemaker and actively involved in the family farm, GlennDora Farm. She enjoyed cooking large feasts for her family and friends. Her hobbies were cake decorating, square dancing and arts and crafts. She was a lifelong member of the Esperance-Sloansville United Methodist Church and actively involved in church activities including Sunday School and Bible School. She was also a longtime member of the Cobleskill Community Hospital Women's Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, Dora was also predeceased by her husband Glenn, who died in 1979. She was the kind and loving mother of four surviving children, Janet (Ron) Eberhardt of Esperance, Barrilyn (Al) of Jacomini of Connecticut, Ivan (Sheron) Easton of Canajoharie and Gary (Joyce) of Esperance, 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on September 28, 2012 from 10 am to 12 noon at the White-Vanburen Funeral, 1779 Main St., Delanson. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Esperance Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Esperance-Sloansville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 254, Esperance, NY 12066 and to the charity of one's choice. The family would like to thank the Nurses/CNA's / staff of Mt. Loretto /Capstone in Amsterdam, for the special care they gave to our beloved mother.
