Donna M. (Smida) Kenyon, 60, of Rotterdam, New York, passed away on July 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on February 14, 1966, in Little Falls, New York, Donna was the beloved daughter of the late Richard and Bessie (Smith) Smida.
Donna was the heart and anchor of her home. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted wife of 31 years to Sean Kenyon, a loving mother to Riley (Kayleigh) Kenyon and Seanna Kenyon, and an incredibly proud "Mimi" to her cherished grandchildren, Peyton, Kehlani, and Lorenzo. Nothing brought a bigger smile to her face than spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
She is also survived by her brother, Rich Smida. She was predeceased by her brother, Bruce Smida. Donna also leaves behind her special cousin, Kathy Brown and her family, the Crandall family, several beloved aunts and uncles, many cousins, and countless friends who became family over the years.
Donna had a heart that naturally cared for others. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, always ready for the next adventure, and could find something to laugh about in almost any situation. Her infectious laugh, wonderful sense of humor, and kind spirit made everyone around her feel welcome and loved.
She found great joy in knitting and lovingly created handmade gifts for family and friends. Each year she looked forward to her knitting retreat, where she spent time doing what she loved with people who shared her passion. Donna also loved traveling, especially her annual trips to Hampton Beach, vacations to Disney, and visits to beautiful Lake George. She enjoyed attending baseball games and making memories with the people she loved most.
Donna's legacy is one of generosity, laughter, compassion, and unconditional love. She lived life with an open heart, embraced every opportunity to make memories, and leaves behind countless lives that are better because she was part of them.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who offered prayers, love, and support. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.
Calling Hours will be held on Friday, July 17, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed immediately by a Funeral Service at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue, Rotterdam, NY.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Donna's love, laughter, and beautiful spirit will live on in the lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
