Donna Lynn Faboskay

ROTTERDAM - Donna Lynn Faboskay, 71, passed away on Friday February 16, 2024 at Ellis Hospital. She was born at Bellevue Maternity Hospital on March 1, 1952 to the late James and Sophie Goverske Faboskay. A lifelong resident of Rotterdam, Donna graduated from Schalmont Central High School. She attended SCCC and after starting her career with the state, she then went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in business. She worked at NYS Dept of Tax and Finance for most of her career, retiring as a tax examiner. Donna was an extremely talented crafter, and would knit, crochet, make stuffed horses and dolls, and Halloween costumes. She especially loved her animals.

Survived by her sisters, Laurie (Michael) Russell and Denise (Gene) Satterlee; her nieces and nephews Amber (Tony) Wessell, Brittany Hastings, Jay Satterlee, Michael (Kaileen) Russell, Kelsey (Chris) Murphy; her great nieces and nephews, Grace Hobbie, Owen Hobbie, Cassidy Hastings, and Asher Hastings. She was predeceased by her great nephew, Austin Hobbie.

Calling hours will be held on Friday February 23rd from 4 to 6pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 24th at 10am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. She will then be interred in Sts Cyril & Method Cemetery, Rotterdam.
