Dominick E Coppola

Rotterdam - Mr. Dominick E. Coppola, age 100, a lifelong Rotterdam resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at the Schenectady Center for Rehab and Nursing. Dominick was born on April 15, 1922 in Rotterdam, son of the late Giuseppe and Concetta Coppola and received his education in Rotterdam schools. His last professional employment was with General Electric, Schenectady where he was an electrician. Dominick proudly served our country during WWII with the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1946, holding the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was united in marriage with Eleanor Laudazzi. Mrs. Coppola passed away in 2002. Dominick enjoyed trips to Sacandaga Lake where he enjoyed camping. Survivors include his beloved family; his sons, Clyde Coppola and wife Alberta of Schenectady, Claude Coppola and wife Donna of CA, and Donald Coppola of Georgia; he was predeceased by his daughter, Cynthia; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive relatives and friends at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam, on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022 from 10am until 12 pm. Mr. Coppola’s funeral will commence at 12 pm on Thursday from the chapel of DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Carlino, officiating. Procession will follow to St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenville where he will be laid to rest.
