Dominick “Dom” Bianchi, 34, of Rotterdam, passed away on Sunday September 13, 2026.
Dom was born in Schenectady on September 16, 1991. He graduated from Mohonasen High School in 2009 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Marketing from Siena College in 2014. Dom spent his career as a marketing professional, most recently serving as the Manager of Agency Marketing at Renaissance.
Dom was an avid baseball player and fan his entire life. Despite being a die hard Yankees fan, he moved to Massachusetts in 2020 and enjoyed many games at Fenway Park. Dom loved live music. He traveled the country to see his favorite artists at concerts and festivals and was always the one to buy extra tickets and get a group of friends to go together. Dom was a truly exceptional friend, cherishing lifelong friendships that began in childhood while continuing to welcome new friends into his life at every stage, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife Julianna; his mother, Theresa Bianchi; his in-laws, Larry and Lori Zyra and their children, Zachary (Katie) Hyson, Alexander Zyra, Alexander (Meagan) Hyson and their children, and Theodore (Sarah) Hyson; his father, Ronald (Tracey) Lewis; his brother, Willie Lewis; his sister, Marybeth Lewis; his uncle, Ben Bianchi; his cousin, Marina Bianchi; and many loving extended family members (especially the DeLorenzo and Bianchi families) and friends. Dom was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Judith Linnehan, and his grandparents, Ermino and Mary Bianchi and Jala Allen.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 19th from 8:30am to 11am at the St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Rd, Schenectady, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. He will then be interred at Evergreen Memorial Park, 2150 Central Ave, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Breakthrough T1D in Dominick's memory.
