Dolores (Iovinelli) Berrian

Dolores Iovinelli Berrian, 89, passed away suddenly on December 14, 2017. Born in Schenectady in on Aug. 28, 1928, she was the daughter of late Columba and Salvatore Iovinelli. She She was a devout Catholic anda proud member and avid shuffle board player at the Rotterdam Elks Lodge. She enjoyed playing slot machines and playing cards at the local casinos, her weekly beauty salon visits, and loved her daily soap operas. Dolores was a grandmother to every child who crossed her path and welcomed each child with a strong hug and gracious smile; she was believed to be a 'baby whisperer'. Dolores truly enjoyed sharing a good meal with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles “Bud” Berrian, who passed away in 2009, her sisters; Marion Izzo, Antoinette Rotondo, Rose Diamante, Clara Isabella, Mary Venditti and Helen Fratine and her brother,Sammy Iovinelli. Dolores is survived by her brother Frank Iovinelli and sister Lorraine Mariano (late Jerry); sons, Mark and Matthew (Cherie) Berrian; grandchildren, Brittany Berrian (Joseph Jasenski) and Erin Lombardi (Angelo); great grandchildren, Elynn, Addisyn, and Angelo III; along with her many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews and even great great nieces and many friends with whom she was very close with. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, from 10 -11:30 am at St. Anthony’s Church, 331 Seward Place, followed at 11:30 am by a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be at Memory Garden’s Cemetery in Colonie. Inlieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN, 38105.
