Diane R Marchesani

Diane R. Marchesani, 59, of Rotterdam, passed peacefully on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the Slate Valley Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Granville, NY. Born in Niskayuna, Diane was the daughter of the late Thomas and Louella Gurnsey Marchesani. Diane enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, as if they were her own. She loved laughing and being silly whether it was playing “Dr Mario” of sitting at the kitchen table having conversation while listening to the radio. Diane always got excited for the holidays. Some of our fondest memories with her were making Ewans and Buckeyes at Christmas time. She found pleasure having get togethers with her family. Some of her favorite things to do were sending the “kids” on scavenger hunts through the neighborhood, bobbing for apples and shaving cream fights. Diane would laugh so hard tears would run down her face. Diane also had a love for the Lord. In addition to her parents, Diane was also predeceased by her sister Deborah Marchesani, two nephews, Michael Cerniglia and Robert White and brother in law Victor Fazio Jr. She is survived by 3 brothers, Michael (Karen) Marchesani, Thomas (Lynn) Marchesani and David Marchesani, 5 sisters, Wyla White, Darlyne Marchesani, Linda (Joe) Flores, Melody Fazio and Gloria Cerniglia as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews , aunts, and cousins. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff and friends of Diane at Slate Valley Center for their compassion, care and friendship during her time there.
