Diane P. Czarnetzky

Guilderland - Diane P. Czarnetzky (nee Politoski), 85, passed away peacefully in Virginia on Wednesday December 3, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born in Brooklyn on May 24, 1940 and raised in Queens. She graduated from Mary Louis Academy in Jamaica, and then attended SUNY Plattsburg, where she met Jack Czarnetzky. They were married and together had three children. She lived in Guilderland for 55 years, where she was a parishioner of St. Madeleine Sophie Church, a member of the Wine Club and of the Curling Club. She was widowed in 1980, and two years ago moved to Virginia. Diane enjoyed traveling and visited Europe and South America. She loved spending time with her family.

Diane is survived by her children, John Czarnetzky, Ronald Czarnetzky, and Laurie Czarnetzky; her grandchildren, Adrian “Jack” Czarnetzky and Adam Czarnetzky; her brother, Michael Politoski; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday December 11th at 10:30am at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carmen Rd, Schenectady, NY 12303, followed by interment in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Madeleine Sophie Church. Arrangements by DeMarco Stone Funeral Home, Rotterdam. Condolences can be posted at demarcostonefuneralhome.com.
