Diana M (Burnell) Haluska

Diana M. Haluska, 87 of Schenectady, died at home on Sunday, November 9, 2014. Born in Saranac, NY, Diana was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mable King Burnell. She worked at the former Maqua Co. as an apprentice Journeywomen and then at the General Electric Main plant as a Coil Winder. She retired with 25 years of service. Diana enjoyed ceramics, knitting, bowling and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Diana was also predeceased by her first husband, Gordon J. Westervelt and her second husband, Joseph L. Haluska, her brother, Sherman Burnell and sister, Frances Baughn. She is survived by her children, Linda (Charles L. Sr.) Robinson of Schenectady and Gary J. (Lorraine) Westervelt, also of Schenectady, 5 grandchildren, 9 great- grandchildren, 3 great- great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 10 am to 12 noon at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin on Friday, 12 noon at the funeral home.
