ROTTERDAM - It is with profound sadness that the family of Diana Iris Bove announces her passing on Friday, January 19th, 2024. Diana was a gentle soul who possessed a quiet but resolute spirit.
Born in Manhattan, the eldest of four children to Victor and Susana Bonilla, she leaves behind loving generations to mourn: Richard, her husband of fifty years; her children Vincent (Lacy), Regina Reyes (Freddy), Nicholas (Hannah), Angela (Jay); and six grandchildren dear to her heart. Also survived by three brothers Tony, Danny and Jimmy; her sisters-in-law Margaret, Nicoletta and Patricia; cousins Liza Adorno and Sandra Lippmann; close friends Annie and Moisés Amaro.
Diana will be remembered by all who knew her as amazingly creative. She found happiness in using her talents to handcraft heartfelt items for her family and loved ones. Her knitting and crochet needles were never far from sight. She infused that quality into her profession as an elementary school teacher, nurturing young minds to thrive. Diana maintained a strong devotion to God and dedication to her parish, contributing faithfully in many capacities such as the annual Festa, cookie baking and membership in the Women’s Society. She truly cherished her nightly Rosary group and found closeness to Jesus, especially as she courageously confronted the ravages of her illness.
This Earth’s loss is Heaven’s gain.
