Dennis M Frattallone

Rotterdam- Dennis M. Frattallone, 75, of Rotterdam, NY entered into eternal life peacefully at his residence on Saturday, April 17, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Schenectady and was the son of the late Samuel and Anna Frattallone. Dennis was a graduate of Bishop Gibbons High School, and a 1967 graduate of Siena College. After completing ROTC training for the National Air Guard, he worked in finance for General Electric’s Turbine Department. He soon realized that his passion for music was stronger than his desire to sit behind a desk and left to pursue a career in music. Dennis was a renowned local pianist and in the 1980’s he opened two nightclubs in the Capital District which served to provide other musicians with a venue with which to perform. In later years, he remained committed to his music, family, and faith. He played in local bands, taught piano, published piano books, and even composed and arranged music under the name Dennis Martin. He lovingly cared for his mother for 10 years during her debilitating illness. He was a daily communicant of several churches in the Schenectady area, and was devoted to the rosary. Most recently, Dennis could be found playing his keyboard at the local McDonald’s surrounded by an audience of friends. He enjoyed watching old movies, bowling, cars, bikes, and the Yankees. He is survived by his daughter, Jill (Greg) Spadaro of Guilderland, NY, his sisters; Diane (Larry) Boisvert of Malta, and Marian (Daniel) Kennedy of Colonie, and his nieces and nephews who cared for him dearly- Marie, Kevin, Tara, Jenny, John, and Bridget. A calling hour will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, April 21 from 9am-10am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Schenectady, NY 12306. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 210 Princetown Rd. Schenectady, NY 12306. Please note that masks will be required to enter both the Funeral Home and the Church, and that social distancing as well as building occupancy limits must be followed. Dennis will be laid to rest at St. Cyril Cemetery in Rotterdam. Those wishing to honor Dennis’ memory may make a donation to Catholic Relief Services at support.crs.org.
