Denise M. Lecce

SCHENECTADY - Denise M. Lecce, 71, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 3, 2024.

Born in Rutland, VT she was the daughter of the late Lionel and Lillian (Gallipo) Carbonneau. She graduated in 1970 from Notre Dame High School in Schenectady.

Denise worked for the New York State Office of General Services for 39 years, retiring in 2009. Denise loved music, especially the Beatles, going to concerts and traveling with her family and friends. She also was an avid bowler and enjoyed going to casinos and playing the slots.

Wife of the late David E. Lecce; mother of Maria (Justin) Peek; sister of Darcie (John) Stewart and the late Deborah Carbonneau Colpoys; grandmother to her beloved grandson, Dixon Peek and her grandpups Deuce and Erma.; Aunt of Jonathan and Shawna Stewart. She is also survived by her partner Robert Simmons and many close friends that she held dear to her heart.

Her memorial service will be held Friday, March 8, 2024 at 6 pm in the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home at 1605 Helderberg Ave. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with family prior to her service from 3-6 pm. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave. Menands, NY 12204.
