Deborah M (Dimmick) Mancini

Deborah Marie Dimmick Mancini, 55, of Rotterdam, wife, mother, grandmother, godmother, sister, aunt and lifetime companion, died at home with her loving family at her bedside, on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. Deborah was born in Schenectady and graduated from Linton High School in 1980. She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Niagara University in 1984. She was employed by Schenectady County in several departments and served 2 terms as County Commissioner of Finance retiring in 2018 with 30 years of service. Debbie played a major role in Schenectady County Government. Her wisdom, skills, leadership knowledge and strong critical thinking will be missed by all. Debbie was a critical player in the successful implementation of countless initiatives that positively impacted the lives of residents within the community. Debbie’s commitment to the community has been extraordinary. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, Playground trips with Cheyanne, trying her luck at slots, playing softball, camping and attending sporting events and performances of the many children in the family. She was patient, kind, compassionate, hilarious, positive, committed, ultimate warrior and inspiring leader. Her favorite sayings were “Buh Bye Momma Loves You” and “Negative”. She was devoted to caring and providing for her family. Debbie’s generosity of spirit which she shared with everyone, everyday will be missed greatly. She was always thinking of others, smiling, laughing and always able to find the best in everyone. Debbie was predeceased by her parents, Paulette and Richard Dimmick, and her in laws; Rita and Ernest Mancini. She is survived by her beloved husband Jeff Mancini, two children; Jeffrey (Samantha) Mancini and Karra Mancini, her granddaughter; Cheyanne, sisters; Sherry (Jack) Heermance, Isabelle Dimmick, Doreen (Steve) Pitsas and Marylou (Tony) Riddle, nieces and nephews; Amanda and Robert Gross (Jamie Corbett), Nicole and Richard Pitsas, Anthony (Trisha Schunk) and Nicholas Frendenburg and great niece; Eliza Frendenburg, as well as many aunts, uncles cousins, friends and her grand dogs; Brutus and Smokie. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, 8:30 am from the funeral home, followed at 9:30 by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 210 Princetown Rd.
