Rotterdam, NY. Dawn Pasquariello, age 69, passed away suddenly on Saturday May 17, 2025.
Born in Rotterdam NY she was the daughter of Stephen and Rita (Gates) Pasquariello,
Dawn graduated Schalmont Highschool and then worked at Mohawk National Bank and Bank of America.
Dawn was elected Rotterdam Receiver of Taxes a position she held for 26 years upon retirement in 2019
People always said they disliked paying their taxes but never minded giving her the money
Dawn fought a long battle with cancer and beat it. She married her life's partner James Longo on Sept 16, 2024. Dawn and Jim loved the beach and spent many hours working on their tans they loved to travel. Dawn and James went on many "adventures" together wintering in their beloved Florida. Dawn was a devoted step mom, aunt, and Mema.
Dawn was predeceased by her father Stephen Pasquariello. She is survived by her mother Rita Pasquariello, her husband James Longo, one brother Joseph and (Cindy) Pasquariello, one sister Kim Pasquariello along with step daughters Janelle Riccio, Julie and (Mike) Friedow and Jessica Longo. Stepsons Matthew and (Samantha) Longo and Christopher Longo. Dawn was a proud Mema to Milan, Anthony, and Gianna Pfister plus the newest addition to her family Cerin Longo. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Calling hours will be held on Friday May 23, 2025 at the Demarco Stone Funeral Home from 12-2pm. A Funeral Service will take place at 2pm at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers can be made in Dawn's name to the St. Jude Children's hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
