Dawn (Kwiatkoske) Koch

Pattersonville – Dawn (Kwiatkoske) Koch, 49, passed away with her loving mother and husband at her side on Friday, January 14, 2022 after a long battle with diabetes. Born in Schenectady Dawn graduated from Mohonasen High School in 1990 and then went on to attend Schenectady County Community College. For many years she was a manager at the Piercing Pagoda at the Mohawk Mall in Niskayuna and then went to work for the Merriam Insurance Agency in Schenectady. Dawn will also be remembered for the love of her dogs Nikita, Lacey, Reggie & Dakota. Dawn is survived by her husband Kyle. She also leaves behind her mother Barbara Aldershoff and her father Robert (Carol) Kwiatkoske. Her brother James (Maria) Burton, her step brother Kevin (Stevee) Aldershoff and her step sister Meghan (Josh) Newell. Her nephews and nieces Aaron, Adam and Taylor Burton and Marley Aldershoff. Her mother-in-law Patricia (Hank) McDermott and her father-in-law Kevin (Lucille) Koch. Her aunt Barbara Feidner. Dawn was predeceased by her paternal grandparents John & Margaret Kwiatkoske, her maternal grandmother Betty Martin and her step father David Aldershoff. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 11 am-1 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A 1 pm prayer service will immediately follow. Burial in Viewland Cemetery will take place in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made in Dawn’s memory to the Kidney/Pancreas Transplant Program at Albany Med c/o Albany Med Foundation, 43 New Scotland Avenue, MC 119 Albany, NY 12208-3478 or to the Pattersonville Volunteer Fire Department, 5279 Pattersonville-Rynex Corners Rd., Pattersonville, NY 12137.
