Highland, NY - Danielle A. DeMassio, 55, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 23rd, 2023. Born in Schenectady, Danielle was the daughter of Claude “Skip” Shultes and late Annette Angerami. She graduated from Union College in 1995 with her Bachelors of Science and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1997 with a Dual Masters in Electrical Engineering and her MBA. Danielle worked for IBM in Poughkeepsie for over 25 years. In her spare time, Danielle enjoyed cooking and baking, yoga and 80’s rock music, especially Queen. She was generous, brilliant, hard-working and fun. All qualities that made her the best mom in the world. Danielle loved her family and friends endlessly. She leaves behind her husband, Stephen DeMassio, whom she married on March 27th, 1999; her 3 daughters, Gianna, Toni and Ava; her father, Claude “Skip” Shultes; brother, David Shultes; uncle and aunt, Jim and Joanne Miller; cousin, RaeAnn Miller; mother-in-law, Lucille DeMassio; brother-in-law, Richard DeMassio (Jamie); nephew, Anthony DeMassio and nieces, Diana and Sarah DeMassio. Besides her mother Annette, Danielle was predeceased by her step-father, Don Angerami. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-6pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin on Monday morning at 10:15am at the funeral home and will be followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 210 Princetown Rd., Rotterdam. Danielle will be laid to rest at Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery on Duanesburg Road.
