Damase J. (Dan) St. Lawrence 5/21/1959 - 4/11/26

Damase J. St. Lawrence passed way suddenly on Saturday April 11, 2026. He leaves behind 3 sisters, Suzanne Haley, JoAnne Russo and Jean Taglieri. He is also survived by his aunt, Judith Royal from TX. He is survived by 4 nieces and 4 nephews and many great nieces and nephews, and cousins, his God daughter, Brittany Fava and her 2 sons.

He is preceded in death by his wife Karen St. Lawrence, his parents Damase F. and Janet F. St. Lawrence.

Dan was the kind of man who made people be seen. He worked at The Home Depot in Colonie, NY. where he spent his days working in the lumber yard department, but to those around him, he was much more than his role. Dan took pride in his work, not just because of the job but because of the people he met along the way. He believed that every interaction mattered. What set Dan apart from others was how deeply he cared. He was invested in everyone he met, family, friends and co-workers and even strangers. He had a rare gift for connection. He remembered details, checked in and followed up. If he asked how you were doing, he meant it and made sure to ask again. That was his superpower. Dan was a natural leader, not because of his title, but because of how he treated people. He greeted everyone with warmth and respect, building personal relationships wherever he went. People trusted him, they felt comfortable around him and he genuinely cared.

We wish to thank his coworkers, Malcolm, Scott, Jamie, Carolyn, Carol and Tina for their continued friendship. He will also be remembered for his favorite saying "Peace Baby".

Calling hours will be held Friday May 1st from 12-2 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. 

A 2pm prayer service will immediately follow.
