Concetta M (Bellanco) Bellomo

Rotterdam – Concetta “Connie” Bellomo, 92, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017 at Capital Living Nursing and Rehabilitation. Connie was born in Pittston, PA, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Rosina (Ormando) Bellanco. She was employed with the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles in Albany, the NYS Department of Tax and Finance in Schenectady and finished her work career as a sales clerk for the Carl Co. retiring in 1991 with 21 years of service. Connie was a fantastic cook and baker, always hosting each holiday gathering at her home. She had a flare for fashion and home decorating. Above all else, Connie enjoyed her family, their trips to Myrtle Beach and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Connie was the beloved wife of the late Joseph S. Bellomo Sr., beloved mother of Jeanne Clements (Sam), Rosemary Aldi (Al), Joseph Bellomo (Sandy) and Lucille Roberts (Robin), loving grandmother of Carolyn Fox (Jamie), Sam and Michael Clements, Christopher Aldi (Claudia), Danielle Blesi (Bill), Roseann Flanders (Dan) and Cherity Pisani (Jeff) and Jacy Roberts. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren, Chloe and Lindsay Fox and Liam, Ella and Brode Blesi, Lucas Clements, Jade and Jax Pisani and Joseph Flanders, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, Joseph, Connie is predeceased by her brothers, Joseph, Anthony and Salvatore. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 25th at 10:30am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 210 Princetown Rd., in Rotterdam. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. At the family’s request there will be no calling hours. Interment will be private at St. Cyril and Method Cemetery. Contributions in Connie’s name can be made to the Capital Living Activities Department, 526 Altamont Ave., Schenectady, NY 12303 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
