Clark F Russell

Schenectady -Mr. Clark F. Russell, age 83, of Gifford Road, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, February 2, 2023, in the peace and comfort of his home. He was in the presence of his family, at the time of his passing. Clark was born on Dec. 14, 1939 in Schenectady, son of the late Clifford and Anna (Attendorn) Russell and educated and attended Mt. Pleasant High School. Mr. Russell served his country with the US Air Force from 1958 until 1962, receiving an honorable discharge. He was united in marriage to Edna Smith on May 24, 1964; a blessed union 58 years of marriage. Mr. Russell was deeply devoted to the Trinity Lutheran Church, Schenectady where he served as past president. For 28 years, he was employed with the Scotia Navy Depot retiring in 1995, after several years of dedicated service. Survivors include his wife Edna at home; his children, Colleen Susko and husband Mark of Halfmoon, Scott Russell and wife Cathy of Halfmoon; his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Sierra and Casey Susko and Olivia Russell; an in-law, William Smith and wife Jayne; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Carole Bishop, Marilyn Howland and Gail Mayville and by a brother, Clifford Russell. He is also survived by his feline companion, Mac. The family will receive relatives and friends at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. Mr. Russell'sfuneral will begin at 11 am in Trinity Lutheran Church, 35 Furman St., Schenectady, with the Rev. Patrick Singh, Pastor, officiating on Wednesday, Feb. 8th. Burial will take place later in the spring at the convenience of the family in Schenectady Memorial Park.
