Charles Montagino

ROTTERDAM - Charles Montagino, 79, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday February 22, 2025. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 8, 1945 to the late Charles and Laura Montagino. Charles was a teacher for the Schenectady City School District for over 30 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Rotterdam Elks Lodge, several organizations and golf leagues throughout the many years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed countless golf outings with his "buddies". His absolute joy in life was spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Marie Dombroski Montagino; his son, Charles J. (Ericka) Montagino; his grandchildren, Michaela and Joseph Montagino; his sisters, Suzanne (Bob) Shanley, his twin sister Helen Montagino (Gordon Dale) as well as many other extended family members of Texas.

A calling hour will be held on Friday February 28th from 12 to 1pm at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam, followed by a funeral service at 1pm. He will then be interred in Sts Cyril & Method Cemetery, Rotterdam. The family would like to thank Rotterdam EMS for the care they provided during this time.
