Catherine "Kay" Rasso

East Patchogue, New York- Catherine "Kay" Mazza Rasso, 91, formerlyof Schenectady, at rest, Thursday, July 3, 2014. Catherine was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Joseph and Isabella Scalise Mazza. She was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School.A homemaker, Kay was employed for ten years at the General Electric Co., during and after World War II. Catherine was the beloved wife of 50 years to the late Arnold C. Rasso (1997); devoted mother of Pamela Rasso, Patricia Rasso, Robert (Anne) Rasso, Carol (David) Steiber, Arnold (Debbie) Rasso and Bradley (Andrea) Rasso; proud grandmother of Bryce (Nicolette) Gregg, Jocelyn and David Steiber, Alyssa and Lindsay Rasso; loving sister of Robert Mazza and the late Lucy Mazza Parente and Anthony Mazza. There will be no calling hours, however, family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, 812 Union St. Schenectady to be held Tuesday, July 8 at 11:30 am.Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
