Carol Ann Gula, 77, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center. Born in Herkimer, Carol was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ann (Radaskiewicz) Wilson. Carol earned her teaching degree from SUNY Cortland and worked as a teacher for 1 year at Guilderland CSD, then decided to stay home to raise her family. She also served as the deputy town clerk in Guilderland for several years. Her survivors include her devoted husband of 54 years, Fred T. Gula, her sons, James Gula, Thomas Gula (Lynn), John Gula and Robert Gula (Jennifer), her grandchildren, Dr. Heather Foster (Michael), Teddy Gula, Joe Gula, Michael Gula, Natalie Gula and Allison Gula, and her brother, Robert Wilson (Nancy) as well as several nieces and nephews. A prayer service will be Saturday, June 11 at 9:30am at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Turnpike, Guilderland followed by a memorial Mass that will be celebrated at 10AM at St. Madeleine-Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Rd.,Guilderland. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 10 from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
