Carol Capozucco,70, died peacefully at The Teresian House on July 27, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born in Barberton, Ohio on March 17, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Lester and Ruth Folk. She was a 1961 graduate of Barberton High School in Barberton Ohio. Carol was employed by the Visiting Nurses Association of Albany for 30 years. She made many dear friends during her time there. She received many employee of the quarter awards but will most be remembered for her vibrant personality and her crème de menthe brownies. Carol's hobbies included reading, baking, cooking, antiquing, zumba and spending time with her girlfriends. Most of all she cherished moments with her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother (Nana). Her grandchildren, Gabriela and Brandon were "the light of her life". She spent countless hours baking and playing games with them and then later in life attending their sporting events especially tennis and baseball. She was so proud of her "little angels". Carol was a selfless woman who dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren and friends. She was married for 50 years to Kenneth Capozucco until his passing in December 2012. Carol is survived by her son Mark Capozucco of Cooperstown, NY and her daughter Debbie Peda(Gregory), grandchildren Gabriela and Brandon Peda all of Guilderland NY. Sister Catherine Gribble(Glen) of Ohio and several nieces and nephews and cousins and pre-deceased by sister, Marjorie Bognar formerly of Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 10-12 noon at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Tpk. (Rt. 20) in Guilderland. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 12 noon. Burial will follow the services at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna. The family is grateful for the outstanding and compassionate care provided by Carol's caregivers at The Teresian House. They became Carol's second family this past 6 months.
