Carmen Louis (Chuck) Ferri, 89, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Born in Schenectady on September 14, 1924, he was the son of Leonard and Mary (Totaro) Ferri. Chuck graduated from Mont Pleasant High School and proudly served in the US Army during World War II. Chuck is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years Carmella, cherished children Karen Joan Ferri and Leonard Charles (MaryAnne) Ferri, treasured grandchildren Jason Leonard Ferri (Cathy Jean Hilliards)and Erica Marie (Michael Stephen) Tetuan, precious great grand children Andrew Raleigh Tetuan and Madelyn Fox Tetuan and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his parents, Chuck was predeceased by his sisters, Lucy (William) Carhide, Lillian (Chester) Nebolini and Frances Ferri, his brother Ralph (Florence) Ferri, and brother-in-law Santo (Virginia) Lombardo. Chuck was proud to have retired from two distinguished careers:the US Government, with 30 years of service, and the Shenendehowa Central School District, with 26 years of service. His grace, goodwill, sense of humor and unrelenting devotion to everyone around him will live on through his family and all those who knew him.He will be forever loved, missed and always in our hearts. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-6 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin on Monday, 9:45 from the funeral home, followed at 10:30 by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 210 Princetown Rd. in Rotterdam. Burial will follow the Mass at St's Cyril & Method Cemetery.
