Carmella Margaret (Formichelli) Forkel

Schenectady, NY-Carmella "Camille" Margaret Forkel, 79, of New Palestine, IN passed away on March 6, 2015 in Indianapolis, IN. She was born in Schenectady, NY on January 1, 1936 to the late Geraldine Frances (Driscoll) and Joseph Formichelli.Carmella was a 1954 graduate of Nott Terrace High School, Schenectady, and was a legal secretary for James E. Holiday Law Office in New Palestine for 18 years.She was preceded in death by both parents and her husband, Herman G. Forkel. Survivors include sons, Dennis Forkel of New Palestine, IN and Darren Forkel of New Palestine, IN (Rachel Kennedy of New Palestine, IN); daughter, Denise Forkel-Lemons of Indianapolis, IN (Edward Sexton); brothers, Joseph Formichelli Jr. of Jefferson, NY; brother in law, Raymond (Mary) Forkel of Clifton, NY; grandchildren, Dustin and Devin Forkel of King, NC, Jeremy Lemons of Indianapolis; nephew, David Formichelli of Rotterdam; cousins in the Formichelli-Colandra family; and friend, Joanne Covert of Schenectady. Memorial services will take place on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 11 am in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady with Father Robert Hohenstein, pastor of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, officiating.Relatives and friends are invited to attend.Graveside services are under the direction of DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam.
