Carmela (Cefala) Donadio

Schenectady- Carmela Cefala Donadio went to be with her Lord on Friday August 14, 2015. She was born in Sambiase, Calabria Italy on January 30, 1923 to Francesco and Marie Volpe Cefala. She immigrated with her family when she was 13 years old. Carmela and her late husband Louis enjoyed 50 years of marriage. She is survived by her children Marie (Robert) Collins, Linda Petitti, Louis (Angelina) Donadio, her grandchildren Robert III (Charity) Collins and Gregory (Karen) Collins, Ernest III (Jodi) Petitti, Dina (Marco) Gizzi, Michael Donadio and great grandson Vincent Petitti. Carmela was predeceased by her husband Louis, sisters Giovanna "Jennie" Gesek, Innocenza "Jessie" Sirianni, infant sister Antoinetta brother John Cefala and son in law Ernest Pettiti. Carmela always put her family first. Always caring for them and making sure everyone was fine. Over the years she worked tirelessly cooking,cleaning, and working full time at GE and Elect- Track where she won numerous awards. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco -Stone Funeral Home Inc 1605 Helderberg Ave Rotterdam on Monday August 17, 2015 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 am on Tuesday August 18 ,2015. Immediately following interment will follow at St Cyril's Cemetery Duanesburg Road Rotterdam.
