Carl’s life was defined not just by what he did, but by the community he built and the friends who loved him. A graduate of Niskayuna High School, he became a skilled carpenter whose craftsmanship helped shape the Capital Region. Following the birth of his daughter Carl moved to West Leyden, NY. He brought his signature work ethic to the Nirvana Spring Water Facility and later Twin Rivers Paper Company, from which he retired in 2022. Carl will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty to the New York Mets, riding his Harley around the East Coast with friends, and his lifelong love of classic rock.
Carl was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his loving children, Benjamin Paulsen and his fiancée Brittani Pavone, and Grace Paulsen; his sisters, Kathleen Robinson and her husband John, and Donna Bold; his nieces, Marsha Shoemaker and her husband Jason, and Elizabeth Landry and her husband Travis; and his great-niece, Lauren Landry. He also leaves behind many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
