Rotterdam – Carl Anthony Constantino, 83, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. Born in Schenectady, Carl was the son of the late Carl and Florence (Gentile) Constantino. Carl honorably served his country in the United State Army from 1956 to 1958. Carl worked for the Rotterdam Highway Department in many capacities for 37 years until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the Schenectady County Sheriff’s Association, the Rotterdam Eagles and the Disabled American Veterans. Carl had a passion for antique cars and stock car racing. He often enjoyed spending time in his camper no matter where it was parked. Carl will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Carl leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 60 years, Doris (Sperbeck) Constantino, his son, Ronald Constantino (Kim), his daughter, Debbie D’Ambrosio (Joseph), his sister, Joyce Pickett as well as his loving grandchildren, Brian Constantino, Joey D’Ambrosio, Rachel Constantino and Deanna Pfau and nieces. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 17th from 10am-12pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. in Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin promptly at 12pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will take place at St. Cyril’s Cemetery.
