C Lorena (Bashford) Monty

C. Lorena Monty, 92, of Rotterdam, NY died peacefully at home on December 29, 2014. Lorena was born in Troy, the daughter of the late Vernon and Blanche Bashford. She was a graduate of Troy High School. She was employed by The Carl Company and retired in 1978 after many years of service. For several years, Lorena was a 4-H leader, active in the PTA and Senior Citizens groups, and an avid camper and square dancer. In addition to her parents, Lorena was also predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, Kenneth Monty and two grandsons, Scott M. Monty and Charles D. Monty. She is survived by her loving children Kenneth J. Monty, II, of Duanesburg, Ronald J. Monty of Stockbridge, GA, Kathryn L. Branca and her fiancée; Tom LaTour of New Port Richey, FL, Deborah A. Monty and her husband Frank D. Agresta of Galway; and her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Grace Bashford of Troy. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Stacey L. Dias, Melinda S. Maddox, Ryan J. Wesley, Matthew J. Monty and Joseph D. Monty, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be private. Entombment will be in Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
