Rotterdam- Bruce W. Neal, 69, at rest Wednesday August 13, 2014. Bruce was born in Schenectady, the son of George W. and Lillian Dewar Neal. He was a graduate of Burnt Hills- Ballston Lake Central School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1963 to 1969, serving honorably in Vietnam in the Artillery and attaining the rank of Sergeant. After his military service Bruce was co-ownerofR and B Builders for over 20 years and then began employment as a carpenter with Schenectady County for over 21 years. Bruce was a quiet, simple, private man who enjoyed spending time with family, especially at the ocean. Some favorite vacation spots were the Caribbean and Florida. Bruce was the son of Lillian Dewar Neal of Ballston Lake and the late George W. Neal. He was the beloved husband of 32 years to Donna M. Dorazio Neal; beloved father of Derek Neal; both of Rotterdam; beloved brother of Karen (Richard) Golden of Burnt Hills and the late Dean Neal; beloved son-in-law of Thomas and Rosemary Dorazio; beloved brother-in-law of Lisa Mell; all of Rotterdam. Bruce is also survived by several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours for Bruce. Burial will be at the convenience of his family.
