Bruce A. Brown

Rotterdam – Bruce A. Brown, 72, passed away on Saturday, August 12th, 2023.

Bruce was born in Schenectady, the son of the late Arthur W. Brown and Phyllis A. (Becker) Brown.

He was a graduate of Draper High School.

Bruce worked for a short time at the General Electric Co. before beginning his career as a bartender. He worked for many years at Matt’s Grill and later at Jim’s Tavern on Curry Road.

In Bruce’s spare time he enjoyed boating on Thompson’s Lake, water skiing and alpine skiing.

He is survived by his sister, Carol Nitsche and her husband, Bill, nieces, Laura Brown, Debra Nitsche and Sharon Handerhan as well as 4 great nieces and nephews.

Per Bruce’s wishes, there will be no services.
