Bridget M. Pandori (Belmonte), 98, of Rotterdam, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Kingsway Arms in Schenectady. Bridget was born in Mechanicville March 2, 1926, the daughter of the late Dominick and Mary Belmonte, and wife of late Robert A. Pandori, who died April 24, 2010. Bridget graduated from Mechanicville High School in 1944 and Abany Business College in 1946. She began her career at New York State Public Works, Albany and was elected Secretary officer for the District 1 Chapter. While raising her children in Schenectady, she worked for Clayman, Mead and Gallo Law Firm, and General Electric Company for many years, retiring in 1992. Bridget was a communicant of St. Gabriel’s Church where she served on the Church Council, was a Lector and a past officer of the St. Gabriel’s Women’s Club. She was a member of the Ladies of Rotterdam Elks (LORE), the Rotterdam Seniors Association, and The Young at Heart Senior Group. She also volunteered at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen. Bridget’s life was devoted to her family and friends, and she always placed them first in her life. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a prolific knitter and the sweaters, afghan blankets and baby sets she made as gifts are cherished by her family and friends. She was also an avid bridge player and belonged to a bridge club that met for more than 40 years. She also enjoyed traveling and vacationing with her family. Everyone whose life she touched will remember her lovingly forever. Bridget is survived by two sons, Robert D. Pandori (Janet Brisbin) of Manlius, and David P. Pandori (Colleen Kattau) of Truxton; one daughter, Donna M. Pandori (Ronnae Tessely) of South Bend, Indiana; six grandchildren, Genevieve Pandori (Robert Howell), Silas Pandori (Melissa Henry), Philip Pandori (Catherine Hill), Hana Pandori, Ryan Pandori-Tessely (Morgann Stantz), Matthew Pandori-Tessely; five great-granddaughters, Delilah, Genevieve, Madeline, Soraya, Mary; two great-grandsons, Judah, Leonardo “Leo”; one brother Anthony “Sonny” Belmonte and wife Kay of Mechanicville, along with many nieces, nephews and their families. She is predeceased by two sisters Clara Graber (Belmonte), Anne Marie Bellavance (Belmonte), one brother Peter J. Belmonte, and dearest godchild and niece Kathleen M. Urkevich (Graber). Services for family and friends are Friday July 12 at St. Gabriel Church, 3040 Hamburg St, Rotterdam. Visitation will be from 9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. Entombment, will immediately follow the mass at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Gabriel Church in loving memory of Bridget M. Pandori would be appreciated.
