Bonnie May Cintula

Rotterdam - Bonnie May Cintula, age 67, of Rotterdam, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, March 23, 2023 with the love and support of her family at her bedside, following a long and courageous battle with her illness. She was born on August 3, 1955 in Amsterdam, daughter of the late Richard and Norma (Coulter) Daniels. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant H.S. On March 23, 1974, she was united in marriage with Michael Cintula at St. Gabriel’s Church, Rotterdam; a blessed union of 49 years. Bonnie was employed with Price Chopper for 39 years working several locations, ending her career in Colonie, where she worked in the pharmacy. She was a devoted member of St. Gabriel the Archangel Church. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. In her spare time, she enjoyed her grandchildren, scrapbooking and tending to her garden. In her younger years, she loved to bowl and ride horses. The outdoors brought her peace and comfort where she enjoyed many nature-walks and also liked birdwatching. She belonged to the National Audubon Society. Survivors include her loving husband, Mike, of Rotterdam, a son, Jason Cintula of Rotterdam, a daughter Sheri Cintula of Rotterdam, and two granddaughters, Hannah and Makayla Vedder, sisters, Dee (Glen) Overholt of Schroon Lake, Sharon Dennebaum of Amsterdam, Becky Hood of Ticonderoga, sister-in-law, Bonnie (Dominick) DiGirolamo of Rotterdam, brother-in-law, Jeff Cintula of Burnt Hills along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard and his wife Linda Daniels. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Bonnie’s Mass of Christian Burial commencing at 12 pm on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, Schenectady with the Rev. Stephen Yusko, officiating. Procession will follow to Schenectady Memorial Park, where entombment will take place. Visitation will be held on Thursday morning from 10:30 am until 12 noon, prior to the service at the church.
