Beverly A. Guido

February 25, 1944 — May 2, 2023

Rotterdam -Beverly A. Guido, 79, of Rotterdam, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her family after a courageous fight with cancer. Born February 25, 1944, in Schenectady, to her loving parents, Pasquale and Julia (Zampella) Caschera.

Beverly was raised in the Goose Hill neighborhood of Schenectady. She graduated from Linton High School in 1962. She retired from DeLorenzo Law Firm where she spent many years as the Head Receptionist with a welcoming smile when you entered the office.

Beverly was the wife and soulmate of 57 years to Michael L. Guido. She is also survived by her children: son, Christopher J. Guido and wife Angela, daughter Nichole A. (Guido) Baker and husband Robert. Grandchildren, Emilio A. Guido; and Julianna M. Guido.

She was predeceased by her loving parents Pasquale and Julia (Zampella) Caschera; brother Pasquale Caschera; sisters Catherine Caschera; Delores Caschera; and Beverly’s grandaughter Andrea L. Guido.

She is also survived by her sisters Marie (Jack) Shafer, of Halfmoon, Grace (Robert) LaSala of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Laura (Kenneth) Peacock of Dayton, OH, Lorraine Seber of Schenectady, and her brother, Michael Caschera (Deborah) of Ballston Spa and many loving nieces and nephews.

Beverly had a love for life and was loved by everyone who met her. She had a smile and a personality that would brighten any room. Her love, dedication, and loyalty for her family was unbreakable. Beverly loved to cook especially Italian food and its traditions. She enjoyed entertaining her family and friends. Having everyone over, cooking big meals was something she loved to do. Beverly had an enormous love for Christmas. It was her favorite time of year. Every year she would make trays of cookies and hand them out to friends, family, and people who did not even know her. She touched so many with the love and care she put into her food. And her knowing you were full and happy was her best reward. She had a love for the NY Yankees, going to many games throughout the years with her husband and family and watching every game on TV. Beverly travelled the world with her husband, friends, and family. She enjoyed her time traveling and had a lifetime of memories to cherish. Hawaii, Paris, Italy, and England are some of her favorite places she has visited. Beverly was enthusiastic about music, and she loved to dance. Beverly also enjoyed her trips to the casinos, Saturday night dinners with her husband and friends, and many years of camp at The Great Sacandaga Lake.

Beverly had a special extended family she loved dearly, Sharon Kaminski, Kyle and Tami Kapusinsky, Ryan Kapusinsky, Collin Kapusinsky, Justin Kapusinsky, Ashley Kapusinsky, and her friend Gary Siekierski.

Special thank you to the Hospice nurses- Laura Davis, RN, Colleen Halliwell, LPN, and the entire Hospice staff.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4 – 6 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave.

Funeral services will begin on Monday, 10:30 am at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the service at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Glenville.

Memorial donations may be made in Beverly’s memory to Community Hospice, 310 South Manning Blvd., Albany, 12208.
