Beverly J. Amorosi, 93 years old passed away peacefully at home on February 20, on her birthday, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born February 20,1933. in Schenectady NY. The daughter of the late Lester Demarco and Grace Squires. Grace passed away three days after Beverly was born. She was adopted by the late Vince and Elsie Barbuto.
A devoted woman of God, Beverly’s faith was the foundation of her life. She faithfully attended Mass each Sunday at St. Paul the Apostle Church. Prior to joining St. Paul the Apostle, she was a longtime and dedicated parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, where she generously volunteered for many years at the parish’s festa. Her church community was an important and cherished part of her life.
Beverly worked at General Electric in Schenectady. Beverly was a co-owner of Carousel shoe box store and was a secretary for Lafayette Men’s clothing store for many years and later at Blue Cross Blue Shield. She carried her strong work ethic and warm spirit into every role she held.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures: tending to her garden, gathering around the table for family dinners, enjoying her favorite coffee from Dunkin' Donuts, and watching cooking shows on YouTube. Beverly had a special talent for cooking and baking and took great pride in feeding those she loved. Nothing made her happier than a home filled with family and friends enjoying a meal she had prepared. She is predeceased by her husband Andrew E. Amorosi.
She leaves behind her loving daughter, Pasqua, and son-in-law, Wayne; her cherished grandchildren, Kenneth (Cindy) Teriele, Benjamin Teriele, Amanda (Tim) Ralston, and Jessica (Jeff) Collins; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Madison Teriele, Mia Ralston, Marlee Collins, and Camren Collins, and Several nieces and nephews.
Beverly will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her generous heart, and the love she poured into her family and community. Her legacy lives on in the traditions she created, the meals she lovingly prepared, and the deep devotion she carried throughout her life.
Funeral services to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be on March 3, 2026, at 9:30AM at the Demarco – Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave. Schenectady followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Church.
Burial will be in St. Cyril. & Method Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Monday evening, March 2, 2026 at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM.
