Betty B. Butterfield, 89 formerly of Rotterdam, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center.Betty was born in Johnstown, NY and was a graduate of Johnstown High School. Betty owned operated Butterfield Sewing Machines with her husband for many years in Rotterdam. She enjoyed playing BINGO, Yatzee and all kinds of card games, especially playing Bridge with her friends. Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband of 48 years Alfred, who died in 1998 and her sister and brother in law Janet and William Clark. She is survived by her children; David (Barbara) Butterfield of Rotterdam, Richard (Patricia) Butterfield of Chandler, AZ., Carol Butterfield of St. Petersburg, Fla., William (Sharon) Butterfield of Rotterdam and Nancy (Robert) Kinkead of Round Lake, eight grandchildren; Sharon (Sean) Clifford, Jason(Joanna)Butterfield, Amy (Thomas) Polito, Wendy (Kris) Spezza, Steven (Danielle) Butterfield, Lisa Butterfield Kasandra Kinkead, Danae Kinkead , 10 great grandchildren and her niece, Karen (Jeff) Unser. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-5 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin of Monday morning, 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Schenectady Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Betty's name to a charity of one's choice.
