Berniece F Arony

Albany-BernieceFlint Arony, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2023 at the Daughter of Sarah Nursing Center at 85 years of age. Berniece was born to the late Erlon W. And Norma R. Flint in Brooklyn NY .She grew up and attended School in New Jersey before graduating from Cornell University with a BA and MA degrees in art and education. Her teaching career started at Cambridge NY Central Schools and continued at Scotia- Glenville Central Schools. In 1969 she married Alexander J. Arony MD and lived in Guilderland NY until 2011. Dr. Arony Died in 1992. One who greatly enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, Berniece also liked reading, working in her garden, bowling and crafting with the local Home Bureau. She was a gracious hostess always preparing a festive board for family and gatherings at her home. Berniece is survived by sister in law and brother in law Anita and Christopher Goutos of Guilderland, step children Philip (Linda) Arony of Charlton. Elizabeth (Colin) Wardle of Altamont, Melissa Arony (Kevin Wardle) of Orlando Fl and Jennifer (Thomas) Gillingham of Guilderland. Also by nephews Robert (Judy Ellen) J. Flint of Schaumburg IL and John E. (Florence) FlintOf Carrollton TX; grandchildren Jared and Amanda Martin of Altamont, Christopher and Alexander Gillingham of Guilderland and Emma Wardle of Orlando Fl .Her brother John R. Flint of Schaumburg Il passed away in 2013. A memorial service will be held at DeMarco Stone Funeral Home Inc 5216 Western Turnpike Guilderland NY on Saturday October 26, 2013 at 10 am. Inurnment will be at a Schenectady Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. Memorial Contributions may be made in Berniece's name to the Guilderland Animal Hospital 4963 Western Turnpike Altamont NY 12209.
