Bernard D. Castaldi

Troy - Bernard D. Castaldi, 81, passed away at home on Tuesday January 7, 2025. Born in Schenectady he was the son of Bernard and Ida (Osinski) Castaldi.

A 1962 graduate of Mohonasen High School Bernard then attended Cobleskill College. He worked for the Air National Guard in Scotia for 29 years. While living in Greenville, SC he worked for the BMW plant in Spartanburg, SC. After returning to New York he worked for Seagroatt Riccardi delivering flowers until he retired in 2020. He loved spending time bowling and playing golf.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years Victoria Wheeler Castaldi of Troy.

Two children David Castaldi of Rotterdam and Laura Castaldi of Scotia.

Two grandchildren Shane and Teigan

Two sisters Maureen (Don) Nero of Guilderland and Judy (Brice) Barnes of Dallas, TX.

Three stepchildren Edward Rinaldi, Kelly Rinaldi and Connie Sweeney.

Four step grandchildren ava Sweeney, Jordan Rinaldi, Emma Rinaldi and Mia Sweeney.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 10 am -12 noon at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam.

A 12 noon funeral service will immediately follow.

Burial with military honors will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenville.
