Beatrice Perillo, 85, of Guilderland, NY (Drums PA and Ardsley NY) died peacefully at home on February 7th, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Beatrice was born in New York City to the late Joseph and Annunziata (Celano) Ruggiero of the Bronx, NY. She was raised in the Bronx and graduated from Hunter College. She later lived and worked in Ardsley, NY, where she made her home with her late husband AnthonyPerillo. Beatrice will be remembered for her love of cooking and planning family gatherings, where she passionately strengthened family ties through the art of storytelling. Civic minded throughout her life she was active in various social clubs, most recently the Teresian House and her church prayer group at St. Madeleine Sophie. Survived by her loving children, Donald and Amy (Sharon) Perillo, and her cherished grandsons Adam and Joseph Carlson who were the light of her life. Also survived by her brother Edward Ruggiero(Lela) and many devoted nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends, she was affectionately known to many as Aunt Bea. There will be no calling hours. All are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of St. Madeleine Sophie, to be held10am Wednesday, February 12. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Beatrice's name may be made to St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Rd. Schenectady, NY 12303
