Rotterdam – Beatrice Farrell, 104, passed away Saturday January 20, 2018 at the Teresian House. She wished to make her 105th birthday but at least she made it to her 105th year. Born on February 24, 1913 she was the daughter of the late Anna Renyak and Charles Lasko. She was a caregiver for her father & five other relatives in their advanced years. She loved her vegetable garden and her flowers especially her white roses. She enjoyed cooking. When asked her secret to long life – she replied “PILLS! – They have one for everything”! She married James Walter Farrell in 1937 until his death in 1995. She was also predeceased by her brothers Frank (Jean) Lasko and Charles P. (Genevieve) Lasko. Sisters; Eileen (Joseph) Rapant, Ethel (Alexander) Oros, Julianne (Theodore) Bisaillon and her nephew Frank Lasko. She is survived by her cousin Carol Lasko (the late John) Kirk. Nieces and nephews; Eileen Rapant of New York, Adrienne (John) O’Hare of Florida, Conrad (the late Jean) Rapant of New York, Peter (Debbie) Lasko of Florida, Leslie (William) Lindenman of New York, Frank (Cathy) Lasko of Vermont, Mark (Carol) Rapant of New York and Laurel Tubbs of California, She is also survived by 19 grand nieces & nephews and several great grand nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Thursday at the Teresian House 200 Washington Ave., Ext., Albany, NY 12203. A visiting hour from 10-11am will precede the Mass at the Teresian House. Burial will be in the spring at St. Agnes Cemetery, Lake Placid.
