Barbara Sue Marx

Rotterdam- Barbara Sue Marx, 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Niskayuna, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Lucy Izzo Marx. She worked as a clerk with the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets. She enjoyed gardening, going on long drives and visiting some of her favorite places; Vermont, Schoharie, and Middleburg, playing tennis, and watching sports, including football and baseball, especially the Yankees. She loved to play miniature golf and she always won. She loved going on walks with her two dogs Molly and Sadie. She will be remembered as a loving Aunt and sister, spending as much time as possible with her family. Her kind and caring demeanor will be missed by all those who knew her. She is survived by her siblings; James R. Marx Sr., Mary Ann (Brian) Flouton, Harry “Butch” Marx Jr. (Ginny), Phillip “Skip” Marx, Edie (Richard) Kietlinski, and Nancy Rorick, many loving generations of nieces and nephews, as well as many loving relatives and close friends. Services will be held privately by the family. Barbara will be laid to rest in St. Cyril & Method Cemetery in Rotterdam. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s, 310 South Manning Blvd. Albany, NY 12208.
