Barbara Caswell

Albany - Barbara Caswell, 68, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 at St. Peter’s Hospital surrounded by those who loved and cared for her. Barbara was born in Cambridge, NY on December 7, 1947. She was the daughter of the late Mitchell Caswell and her step-mother, Mildred Caswell. Barbara was predeceased by two brothers, Raymond and Edward. Barbara is survived by her sister, Caroline of Guilderland and five nieces, as well as her friends and staff at the Warren, Washington, & Albany Counties ARC home where she resided in Albany. Barbara had an incredible impact on all the lives she touched. Her spirited way of being and zest for life was second to none! She had the ability to light up a room and make you laugh on even your worst days. In her younger days, Barb enjoyed doing arithmetic, word puzzles and going for walks and in her later years she enjoyed listening to music and spending time and chatting with those who cared for her. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 7th at 10am at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Ave., Guilderland. Inurnment will follow at Memory’s Garden in Colonie.
