Arnold L. Smith

NISKAYUNA - Arnold L. Smith, 70, passed away suddenly at home on March 11, 2024.

Born and educated in Schenectady he was the son of the late Frances and George Milliman. Arnold worked as a truck driver for over 25 years retiring from UPS Freight in 2017.

He served in the US Navy from 1969 to 1974 and was a member of the Marine Corp League. Arnold was the founding father of Deathrisin MC and a member of the Rotterdam Elks, Guan Ho Ha Gun Club and OTHG Riding Club.

Husband of Ella Mae Smith; father of Tim (Stacy), Bill (Ursula), Danielle and Jennifer (Coreen); brother of Donna Bohler, Michele (Neal) Renzi and the late Joseph B. Smith, Jr.; grandfather of Alize, Dajour, Elycia, Dasia, Kiyarra, Lauren, Katharina and Grace; great-grandfather of Avion, Laylah and Leilani. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Arnold’s funeral service will be held Friday March 15, 2024 at 12 noon in the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave.  Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with his family on Friday prior to his service from 10 am to 12 noon. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery Colonie. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to the Marine Corps League P.O. Box 1990, Stafford, VA 22555-1990.
