May 14, 1947 — March 9, 2021

Rotterdam – Arnold A. Aldi, 73, passed away on Tuesday, March 9th, 2021 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. A lifelong area resident, Arnold was born in Niskayuna to his parents, the late Benjamin and Hazel (Gifford) Aldi. He was a graduate of Mohonsen High School. After graduation, Arnie was employed by the NYS Comptroller’s Office for over 35 years. Arnie was a loving, kind and caring man. He was also a selfless man who was always ready with a helping hand wherever needed. As a dedicated NY Mets and NY Jets fan, even when his teams were down, his loyalty never faltered. He was an avid collector of baseball and football cards and model cars, including classics and Nascar replicas. Arnie enjoyed fishing and a good game of golf when he was able to. He leaves behind his siblings, Mary (late John) Korkosz, Gary (Regina) Aldi and Arlene (Michael) Krisanda; nieces and nephews, Kevin Korkosz, Michele Charlton, Wendy Korkosz, Maria Reed, Michael Krisanda III and Rebecca Naumowicz, in addition to several great nieces and great nephews. Besides his parents, Arnie was predeceased by one nephew, Joseph Aldi. Funeral services will be private. Burial will take place at St. John the Baptist Cemetery. A memorial Mass celebrating Arnie’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions in Arnie’s name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research at MichaelJFox.org/donate or to a charity of one’s choice.
