Armando Cianfarani

Rotterdam – Armando Cianfarani, 77, passed away on Monday, October 22nd, 2018 surrounded by his family at Ellis Hospital. Born in Sora, (FR), Italy, Armando was the son of the late Vincenzo and Santa (Perruzza) Cianfarani. Armando was the founder of Armando and Sons General Welding Co. in Schenectady, where he worked with his sons and could be found talking politics around the shop. He loved his business and making his iron railings. Armando was an avid sports fan, especially Roma soccer. He is predeceased by one son, Vincenzo Cianfarani. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Rita (Savona) Cianfarani, two sons, Remo Cianfarani (Lynn) and Giuseppe Cianfarani (Shayne), his grandchildren, Alexandra, Andrea, Kylian, Hyden, Luc, Christian, Sophie, Santino, Stella and Rocco as well as his sister, Lina Tersigni, his brother, Rocco Cianfarani, and daughter-in-laws, Somjit Cianfarani and Audrey Cianfarani. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin on Friday at 8:45am at the funeral home and will be followed by a funeral mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 210 Princetown Rd., at 9:30am. Entombment will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
