Arlene Ann Krisanda of Rotterdam, or “Gramms” as she was affectionately, known, passed away unexpectedly at Ellis hospital in the evening of Monday, December 5, 2022 at the age of 73, surrounded by loved ones. The daughter of Benjamin and Hazel (Gifford) Aldi, Arlene was born in Niskayuna, NY on February 2, 1949. She was raised and educated in Rotterdam, graduating from Mohanasen High School. Arlene worked as a payroll clerk for the Golub corporation where she retired from in 2013. Arlene is survived by her husband of 52 years Michael Krisanda Jr., her two children Michael (Courtney) Krisanda lll and Rebecca (David) Naumowicz. She shared a close and very special bond with her three grandchildren, Grant and Brady Krisanda, and Daxton Naumowicz. Arlene is also survived by her siblings Mary (late John) Korkosz and Gary (Regina) Aldi. Besides her parents Arlene was predeceased by her brother Arnold Aldi. Arlene leaves behind many brother/sister in-laws and nieces and nephews. Arlene was a caring and loving woman, who, throughout her lifetime, devoted herself to family, her religion, and her love for rescuing animals. The family welcomes visitors at DeMarco, Stone Funeral Home,1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdamon Monday, December 12, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, 9:15 am from the funeral home. Arlene’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebratedat 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 13, 2022at St. Madeleine Sophie’s church,3500 Carmen Road, Schenectady. Following the mass, the burial will take place at St’s Cyril’s and Method Cemetery,611 Duanesburg Road, Rotterdam.
