Arcangela Marotta

Schenectady-Mrs. Arcangela Marotta, age 89, of 13th Street, Schenectady, passed away in the comfort of her home on Monday morning, May 18, 2015 in the presence of her loving family. She was born in Squille Caserta, Italy, daughter of the late Fiorentino and Marianna (Rossi) Viscusi and educated in schools in Italy coming to the United States in 1969.She was united in marriage with Giovanni Marotta on June 22, 1957; a blessed union of 57 years. Mrs. Marotta was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.Her personal interests included gardening and sewing and she will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her husband Giovanni; children, Maria Greco and partner Charles of Niskayuna, Josephine Odorizzi and husband Pat of Glenville, Florina Leffingwell and husband Dave of Duanesburg; a brother, Carlo Viscusi and wife Anna of Rotterdam; a sister, Maria Audi and husband Guiseppe of Rotterdam; her grandchildren, David, Andrea, Annalisa, Amy, John and Gianna; many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive relatives and friends at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam, on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 5-7:30 p.m.Mrs. Marotta's funeral will commence on Thursday, May 21st at 9:30 am from DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home where prayer will be offered and at 10 am from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Pleasant St, Schenectady where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Robert J.
